What's New

Dreams Take Flight would like to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors for helping to make Magical Memories for 145 special kids on May 5, 2010! Our 17th annual flight was our biggest ever, and could not have gone ahead without their countless volunteers hours and generous financial support. This year along with dozens of other volunteers, Edmonton Oiler Jason Strudwick and his wife Schoena chaperoned children for the day in Disneyland.  Raffle tickets for our March 2011 Raffle for flights anywhere Air Canada flies will be available starting in June 2010. Check back for more info!

Our Objective - "Making Magical Memories for Special Kids"

The objective of Dreams Take Flight Edmonton is to take children from mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds to Disneyland for a day. The Edmonton chapter of Dreams Take Flight provides this opportunity to children from as far south as Red Deer and as far north as Yellowknife.

Mission Statement

Dreams Take Flight is a national volunteer charitable organization dedicated to providing a trip of a lifetime to physically, mentally or socially challenged children. With the aid of Air Canada, and other national and local organizations and businesses, money is raised to make the dreams a reality in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax. Funds not required for its primary purpose can be gifted by Dreams Take Flight to other registered charities that benefit physically, mentally or socially challenged children and are within the policies adopted by Dreams Take Flight Canada.

17 Years of Magical Memories

The 2010 flight marked the 17th year that Dreams Take Flight Edmonton has taken children to Disneyland. This year's flight gave 145 children the opportunity to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth", bringing the total number of children given this opprtunity by the Edmonton chapter to over 1600.
