Dreams Take Flight is 100 per cent volunteer-powered. Each person—from Air Canada pilots, flight crew and ground support to administrative support—donates their time. Fast forward 25 years, and we now have many other members within our communities also volunteering their time!
Volunteering is a unique way to give a trip-of-a-lifetime. Donate your time to plan or deliver a golf tournament, gala, or other fundraising activity.
We need volunteers from all backgrounds and with all skill sets. If you are over 18 years of age and would like to volunteer, you are in the right spot!
All volunteers must complete an application, follow the Members Code of Conduct and agree to police check every two years.
Volunteers register with Dreams Take Flight. We track all your hours and give you credits. As they build up, you become eligible to join a Dreams Take Flight trip-of-a-lifetime.
Please ensure to complete ALL steps in order to apply as a volunteer.
PART 1: You MUST complete STEPS 1 to 2 for your application to be considered. If your application is not accepted, your fees will be returned.
PART 2: If your application IS accepted you will be advised by email, then you will return here to complete the final step – Step 3 / CRC.

Step 1 - The Rules
To begin, please review the Dreams Take Flight Code of Conduct.
Step 2 - The Application
Enter your volunteer information and pay for your Dreams Take Flight Membership.
Note: Submitting an application does NOT guarantee Membership acceptance. Applications not accepted will have the membership fee returned.
Step 3 - The CRC
Members must provide the charity with a current Criminal Records Check (CRC). Once provided will be valid with our Dreams organization for two years.
Please print a copy of this Authorization letter and present it to your local City Police or RCMP station for processing. Your local branch may charge you a small fee. Dreams Take Flight cannot refund those fees.
Step 4 - Welcome to the Flight Deck!
This last step is for NEW Members ONLY – Please DO not complete this step if you are a returing Member!
For New Members, upon your acceptance notification, you will receive a password to gain access to the Dreams Take Flight Volunteer portal (Volgistics), along with futher instructions.
